Acclimatisation — Crëp de Sela to Rifugio Kostner

Colfosco → Crëp de Sela → Col de Stagn → Vallon — to Rifugio Kostner
Out of the village, the trail climbs through forest and pasture to Crëp de Sela (1,867 m), then across rolling alpine terrain toward Col de Stagn (2,517 m), Piz Boè rising ahead. Just before the pass it skirts a small alpine lake — bracingly cold, a tempting polar-style plunge for the brave. From there it drops into the Vallon basin to Rifugio Kostner (2,550 m) for lunch.
Fuel up before heading out.
Short walk to the trailhead on Strada Col Pradat. Early start beats the crowds.
Steady climb — no scrambling, just legs and lungs.
Small glacial tarn below the pass — cold-plunge optional, then a short drop into the Vallon basin.

Via Ferrata Brigata Tridentina + Transfer to Rifugio

Via Ferrata Brigata Tridentina — Sella Group
Via ferratas along the Sella massif: ladders, cables, traverses, waterfall, suspension bridge. Exposure builds steadily. Finale at Rifugio Pisciadù (~2,580 m).
Starting point: Parkplatz Pisciadù, Corvara in Badia (CAI parking, 46.54955°N 11.80926°E). The descent returns via the Val Setus gully to Passo Gardena — where Jimmi Hütte is waiting.
Fuel up — today is the big day. Check out by 10:00 AM; the hotel stores your main bags and you collect them June 22 after descent.
Taxi directly from the hotel to the Pisciadù car park (~20 min).
Take path No. 29 from the car park (20–30 min) to the cable section. Harness on, helmet on, lanyard clipped.
Sustained via ferrata — exposure builds steadily. Escape route to Pisciadù hut at halfway. Suspension bridge is the highlight.

Water refill, 10-min rest. Begin descent via Val Setus.
Path 666 down through the steep Val Setus gully (~90 min). Keep via ferrata gear on for the upper cable-protected section of the descent. Then zigzag down the scree slope — straightforward but loose underfoot.
Jimmi Hütte is right at the pass — a 5-minute walk, or hop on the cable car if you'd rather not walk.
Classic Dolomite mountain hut at the top of the pass — local food, great terrace, proper sit-down.

Quick stop for your stored bags, then ~40 km drive via Corvara → Passo Campolongo → Arabba → Rocca Pietore → Passo Fedaia. Allow 1h–1h15 on mountain roads.

Route: Via Ferrata Cresta Ovest → Punta Penia
From Rifugio Castiglioni, the path climbs toward the glacier. Crampons on at the glacier edge — live glaciated terrain with crevasse risk. Guides rope teams here.
Cross the glacier to Forcella Marmolada (2,910 m), then the via ferrata Cresta Ovest (West Ridge) — fixed cables on exposed rock — to the Schena de Mul ridge and summit.
